How did we build an 8-meter conference table with media ports for Enea Wytwarzanie in Świerże Górne?
From this project, you’ll learn:
- how we built a conference table measuring 800 × 160 cm,
- How to equip a large conference table with power, internet, and multimedia connections,
- what solutions we implemented at the request of the IT department,
- How can you organize the cables around an 8-meter-long table,
- Why, when using non-standard dimensions, is it a good idea to tailor the table’s configuration to how the room is used?

Second Order for Enea Wytwarzanie in Świerże Górne
Enea Wytwarzanie operates the Kozienice Power Plant in Świerże Górne, which is the second-largest power plant in Poland. It was to this location that we once again had the opportunity to deliver our furniture.
As part of our first order, we built a conference table for six people. This time, the company came back to us with a request to furnish a much larger conference room.
8-meter conference table for a large conference room
The new table was supposed to be 800 cm long and 160 cm wide, so it wasn’t a solution that could simply be chosen from a catalog in a standard size. Both the table’s design and its features had to be tailored to the specific room and the way it would be used during meetings.
At 8 meters long, the table becomes the centerpiece of the entire conference room. It must provide sufficient space for meeting participants while remaining stable and comfortable for everyday use.
We crafted the tabletop with a natural wood finish and mounted the structure on black metal legs. A black strip runs through the center of the table, where we’ve incorporated the components needed to operate the equipment used during meetings.
Media ports recessed into the countertop at the request of the IT department
Technical requirements were very important for this project. The client’s IT department specified which ports should be built directly into the table. Our task was to find a suitable solution, adapt it to the table’s design, prepare the tabletop, and install the media ports.
The modules used are equipped with:
- 4 230-volt power outlets,
- 3 Cat 6e RJ-45 network jacks ,
- 1 HDMI 2.0 port,
- 1 3.5 mm MiniJack jack,
- 1 additional module set aside for later use.
The media ports are recessed directly into the tabletop, making the necessary connections easily accessible during a meeting, and keeping everything neat and tidy once the modules are closed.
With a table this large, this was particularly important—meeting participants don’t have to run cables several meters to a single power outlet or network connection point.
Cable grommets and cable routing under the countertop
Top-access outlets are just one aspect of a well-designed conference table. With dimensions of 800 × 160 cm, it was equally important to properly route all the cables located under the tabletop.
That is why we used rectangular cable channels and horizontal under-counter strips, which allow us to route and organize the cabling along the length of the table.
This solution helps organize the cables under the tabletop and minimize the amount of visible wiring, despite the many connections installed along the entire length of the table.
The end result
The result was an 8-meter-long conference table, custom-designed for Enea Wytwarzanie’s large conference room. Its dimensions, construction, and the layout of its connections were tailored to how the room will be used during meetings.
Power, network access, HDMI, a mini-jack, and cable management under the tabletop were all taken into account during the table’s design phase. As a result, these technical features are accessible directly from the tabletop, and the cabling can be neatly organized beneath it.
We delivered and installed the table on site in Świerże Górne. This is the second order from Enea Wytwarzanie fulfilled by Deerhorn.
