Two oak desks on black metal frames standing side by side—just like the team of pioneers in cardiac surgery and transplantology who work side by side near Warsaw
Introduction
There are places where work takes on a special meaning. It is here, at oak desks overlooking the fields outside the window, that the team developing technologies for cardiac surgery and transplantology works on solutions that literally save lives. Deerhorn made sure the space was worthy of the mission they’re carrying out.
The Challenge
Quantum Innovations needed two workstations positioned across from each other—functional, stylistically cohesive, and comfortable for long hours of intensive conceptual work. The space was to be simple, unobtrusive, yet full of character—one that fosters concentration rather than distraction.
Two desks, one space
We designed two desks with oak tops mounted on a black, angled steel frame, positioned facing each other. This layout allows for easy communication among employees while providing each person with a clearly defined, private workspace.
Oak and steel—materials that require no additives
Warm, natural oak paired with a black steel frame creates a composition that needs no embellishments. It’s an interior that speaks for itself—serious, focused, and aesthetically pleasing all at once. Exactly what the office of serious scholars should be.
A space that promotes productivity
The desks are arranged by the window, which offers a sweeping view of the surrounding area—natural light for most of the day, quiet, and space. The space is complemented by ergonomic armchairs, a plant that brings the interior to life, and a guest chair—a small detail that makes the space suitable for work meetings as well.
