Introduction
A room that combines a workspace with an elegant storage and display area—that’s what this project for Ms. Milena in Wrocław looks like. An illuminated bookshelf with an oak frame and two cabinets with white fronts form a cohesive wall unit that is as functional as it is beautiful.
The Challenge
Milena needed a built-in unit that would solve two problems at once—providing ample storage space and a place to display her favorite decorations and books. It was also important for the entire design to harmonize with the blue-gray color scheme of the wall and the natural wood of the desk located in the same room.

The centerpiece of the unit is an open bookshelf with an oak frame and LED lighting inside each niche. The warm light highlights the natural textures of the decor, plants, and books, creating a gallery-like effect in the home. The bookcase serves not only a practical purpose here—it’s also a decorative focal point of the entire room.
The LED lighting shown in the rendering is an optional feature and is not included in the standard furniture configuration.
An oak frame as a connecting element
The bookcase’s natural oak frame echoes the top of the desk standing next to it, creating a cohesive, well-thought-out material composition throughout the room.
Cabinets with white fronts and wooden handles
Next to the bookcase, we installed two tall cabinets with white, matte fronts and long wooden handles in an oak finish. The white fronts contrast with the warm oak frame of the bookshelf, creating an elegant two-tone effect. The cabinets provide ample storage space hidden behind clean, minimalist fronts.
A desk to complete the look
In the same space, there is a desk with an oak top and a white frame—matching the color scheme of the wardrobes and the bookshelf frame. As a result, the entire room forms a single, harmonious whole, rather than a collection of random pieces of furniture.
