A table with an oak top and a glass-fronted cabinet with LED lighting for Ms. Barbara—designed by Deerhorn
Introduction
Black and warm wood—two materials that, when combined, create an interior with real character. For Ms. Barbara, we designed a dining table with an oak top and a tall cabinet with glass doors, black fronts, and LED lighting—furniture that not only serves a purpose but, above all, delights.
The Challenge
The client was looking for dining room furniture that would be stylistically cohesive, functional, and at the same time striking enough to serve as the focal point of the interior. She wanted to combine the warmth of natural wood with the elegance of black, and she wanted a display cabinet that would hold glassware and decorations, showcasing them beautifully.
Dining table with an oak tabletop
We crafted this table with an oak tabletop mounted on a black, angular steel frame. Its simple, minimalist design makes it perfect for both everyday meals and elegant dinners. The warm shade of oak adds warmth to the interior and contrasts beautifully with the black chairs and the black cabinet fronts.
Material consistency as the key to wholeness
The oak tabletop and the oak frame of the display cabinet are the same shade of wood—this ensures that the two pieces of furniture form a cohesive, well-thought-out pair, rather than a random combination.
Display cabinet with LED lighting and black fronts
The tall display cabinet is the second star of this project. Its black, matte fronts with an oak frame and internal LED lighting create an effect that’s impressive at any time of day or night. The glass section displays wine glasses and decorative items in the warm, golden light of the LED strip, while the closed fronts conceal items that do not need to be on display.
The LED lighting shown in the rendering is an optional feature and is not included in the standard furniture configuration.
A display cabinet and a closet in one
This cabinet combines two functions—an attractive display behind glass and practical storage behind closed doors. It’s a solution that works well in any dining room where both aesthetics and organization matter.
